Q:  I am a 21 year old woman. My father has a friend whom is 50 years old. Ever since I was 17, I have had an attraction to hime, and, he to I-at the time he would not admit it. I am an only child. One day he stopped by while my parents were away. I invited him in and one thing lead to another. We made mad, passionate love. Now, I go to his place 2-3 times a week(hard to do it at home). I wish to marry him, but he does not want to until he is ready. We never go out because he is afraid my parents will find out. What shoul I do? – Layperson, Houston, TX

A:  Those type of relationships rarely last. You and he , need to determine why you both are in the relationship and what both want from it. It appears he is only after your body for sex. You sound like you want a father figure and/ or financial security. The relationship can only work if mutual respect, trust, and, love exists. It does not appear ANY of these exist. Only you can determine this. In such relationships, males usually milk the ladies for all they are worth and move on. Rarely is it the other way around. Open your eyes.
